Restless making music, now they are back after a short break. Sigur Rós, the famous Icelandic classical post-rock band has been making a lot of good music since 90s. Jón Þór Birgisson (Jónsi), lead singer of the band is the limelight, his endearing voice can really touch your soul. Their music is mind blowing, melancholic, emotional, melodic, hypnotizing and amazingly they stand out as an anomaly, and that's exactly why their music outshines anything that tries to come close. Sigur Rós has recorded a total of five albums, which include Von (1997), Ágætis byrjun (1999), ( ) (2002), Takk... (2005), Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust (2008). They also recently toured with Ólafur Arnalds, one of our previous "Music on Saturdays" reviews. What can I say? The Icelandics' got the talent!
